Where can I find the Library's eBooks?
Libby is one of a variety of sources of eBooks. Use eBook Search to comprehensively search all eBooks available to you. If you want to see what is only available from Libby, visit https://libbyapp.com.

Who can read the Library's eBooks?
Department of Commerce staff and contractors stationed at the Herbert C. Hoover Building in Washington, DC with a Library Account may use Libby.

Is Libby the same as OverDrive?
Libby is built by OverDrive, who also developed the classic OverDrive app. Both apps let you borrow the same digital content. However, Libby was designed to make finding, borrowing, and enjoying eBooks easier than ever.

Can I download Libby to my government phone?
For the most part, yes. If you are having an issue with downloading the app to your government phone, please contact your Bureau's IT help desk.

Getting Started

2. Download the Libby app:

Or, use it in your web browser at https://libbyapp.com/.

3. Open the Libby App, then:

  • Select Yes: do you have a library card?
  • Then tap on I'll Search For A Library.
  • In the Library name, city or zip search box type in Commerce Research Library.
  • Now select Commerce Research Library.
  • Tap Enter Library Account Details, then tap Next.
  • Finally, login with your Library Account credentials.

4. Start browsing the collections!
