Webinar FAQs

We host Library webinars on Cisco Webex Events. To see what events are coming up and register, visit our upcoming trainings & events. After registering for an event, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to join the webinar.
  • Disconnect from your VPN before joining the webinar.
  • Close other browser tabs and open programs that may be affecting the bandwidth available to you on your network.
  • Run the Cisco Webex Network Test in Firefox or Chrome on the computer you are trying to run Webex.
  • Computer audio is generally preferred, but if it is muffled, click on the “…” button, then select Switch Audio. Choose “Call me” and then enter your telephone number. Webex will then call your phone and connect you to the webinar. If the audio quality on your telephone is degraded, press *0. You will be transferred to a Webex technician who will be able to assist in diagnosing this issue.
For our webinars, we use Cisco Webex Events. When joining the event, you may be prompted to add the Webex extension to your browser. This will help you join all Webex sessions quickly but is not required; users may also choose to run a temporary application or join by browser (Webex is compatible with Firefox & Chrome browsers).
  1. Click on the link from the confirmation email.
  2. Fill in your Name and .gov email address, then click Join Now.
  3. Once the Webex application opens, click Start Event.

For detailed instructions on joining a Cisco Webex Event, see Cisco's help page.
