Webinar FAQs

We host Library webinars on Microsoft Teams. To see what events are coming up and register, visit our upcoming trainings & events. After registering for an event, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to join the webinar.
  • For the best experience, Download Microsoft Teams.
  • Disconnect from your VPN before joining the webinar.
  • Close other browser tabs and open programs that may be affecting the bandwidth available to you on your network.
  • Computer audio is generally preferred, but if it is muffled, click on the “…” button, then select "Show meeting details." Use the provided dial-in information to join by telephone.
For our webinars, we use Microsoft Teams. When joining the event, you may be prompted to download the Teams desktop app. Joining via the Teams app will provide you with the best experience, but it is not required; users may also choose to join by browser (Teams is compatible with Chrome and Edge browsers).

If your Bureau uses Teams:
Sign in to the Teams app on your computer, then click on the join link.

If your Bureau does not use Teams:
Join from Chrome or Edge and click on “Continue on this browser.”

Minimum bandwidth required for receiving:
  • High Definition Video: 3.9 Mbps
  • Standard Quality Video: 0.2 Mbps

  3. Use the provided dial-in information to join by telephone.
We use the Federal Relay Service to provide captions for our webinars. Each webinar will have a unique URL to access the live captions. The caption link will be available a few days before the event and shared at the beginning of the event. Teams also offers live captioning for instructions, visit their website.
We record most Library events. The recording will be available within 24-48 business hours. Recordings are added to Library Search and linked to on the past Research Database Trainings or Speakers pages.
